I've been meaning to fill out these blog posts a little bit with gag cartoons I drew when I was making the rounds.

'Eyup matey! Hope you're well n' happy. Is that an inappropriate tone to use for a blog comment?!?! I'm not bothered if you're not, Jeff....that page is fantastic, as per usual, but those gag panels?!?! Fuckin' amazing to see you experimenting with different styles and the penultimate one especially is funny as fuck, you witty son-of-a-gun, you! My favourite drawing style is the third, though, for some reason...I dunno, it's just really nice with the ink wash n' that brill line quality. And I mean that most sincerely, sir! Anyway! Keep on being too fucking good for your own, urh, good, Jeffro, put me down for 3 copies of G.R #2 and I'll be in contact again soon! Should I have just sent this as a e-mail?!?!? Ahh, fuckit...

Haha...AH who cares...it's all typing stuff into a box. That renders everything toneless. ...the gag cartoons, maybe I shouldve explained better are all fairly old. I drew them when I was in and for a couple years after high school..so like, oh wow, 10-14 years ago, that is kindof a long time... Say, I meant to ask you...add to the other questions...what are you drawing with? Also, did you use a particular method to quit smoking? Your own method? Also, do you really want 3 copies of gr2? I can totally send you 3 copies if you want them, just figured I should ask first..

ReplyDeleteI'm using a Hunt 108 now but my last comic page that you've seen is done with a 102. Really dig the flexibility of the 108, though. Hahah I actually asked you what you're drawing with in the letter! Speaking of, any mail yet....? 'S'bin a week, exactly, is that too soon for a package to get to the States from Blighty?!?! I dunno. Be sure to let me know when it comes! Whaddamy sayin', I know you will, man.
Oh and I quit with lots of auricular acupuncture, at least once a week, and our great National Health Service (Mr. Obama would do well to take a leaf out of "our" book when it comes to nationalised healthcare! That and soccer comics are "our" biggest achievement as a nation, I reckon....!) have regular, free quitting meetings with free nicotine replacement prescriptions. Pretty cool, huh? Them in power realised that it's cheaper to get people to stop than the amount it cost for smoking-related disease care....anyway it's a good idea.
